The idea behind this jacket is to develop an item that can replace all those specific jackets that you take normally with you, so you don’t have to choose between a rain jacket, wind jacket or a casual jacket. The Escape Jacket is for you, whether your escape is a 300km bike packing route across the Netherlands or nipping across town for a coffee. We love ‘spiced’ things and think this isn’t only applicable to food or mulled wine, but also to our rides and adventures!
Description
The Escape jacket is made up of two complementary layers. The outer layer maintains a water repellent DWR coating and the inner membrane is waterproof. This double layer system gives versatility and efficiency. The two-way zipper makes temp control and pocket access effortless, so you won’t need to totally unzip to get to your stashed pockets.
The storm hood features an elasticated closure to keep the weather at bay and can be worn over or under a helmet. A magnet system keeps the hood in place when it’s not being used, to stop it flapping in the wind. A large chest pocket keeps your valuables safe from the rain and close to hand. Reflective stripes on the sleeves and a reflective, zipped pocket on the rear ensure you stay seen in low light conditions.

What is DWR?
Durable Water Repellency, or DWR, is a technology that causes water to bead on the surface of the fabric so that instead of soaking into the garment's outer fabric, the rain simply rolls off. By reducing the amount of standing water on the garment’s outer, the breathability of the fabric is maintained and it remains light and comfortable to wear. After prolonged use you may find that the DWR’s performance begins to diminish. This can be refreshed by applying a DWR treatment after washing.
